June Celebration Events

June 12

The first of six Sunday celebration services will feature presentations by Family Life, Outreach and Helping Hands ministries at both services.

June Community Outreach Events!

What better way to kick off our celebration than to give thanks to God for our many blessings by reaching out to those in greatest need in our community. We will do this by cooking and serving four dinner meals at St. Francis House on Thursday, June 2, and Wednesdays, June 8, 22, and 29.

"Kingdom Rock: Where Kids Stand Strong for God"

ASLC's 2013 Vacation Bible School program launches Monday, June 24 through Wednesday, June 26. Join us for three evening of fun, beginning at 5 p.m. for a kid-friendly dinner and ending at 7:30 with Fanfare Finale!

Picture yourselves in a royal castle in a kingdom where kids will learn about the reality of God's love and its relevance in their daily lives. We encourage kids to come dressed in their medieval royal finery!

Kids from age 3 through 5th grade will enjoy learning new songs, rotate through Tournament Games, Imagination Station, Epic Bible Adventures, and Chadder Chipmunk's Royal Theatre (yes, he's back!) as well as enjoy special snacks from the King's Kitchen. Preschoolers will rotate through their own age-appropriate stations for fun and learning! Everyone will be together to sing and celebrate at the Sing and Play Rock opening and Fanfare Finale closing, which parents are invited to attend.

You will soon see a list of opportunities in the Narthex, from helping to decorate the family life center, assisting in activities such as story-telling, crafts, making special snacks, and donating food or items for activities. We invite you to join in the fun -- the adults have as much fun as the kids!

You can register kids online at www.groupvbspro.com/vbs/ez/abidingsavior or registration forms will be available in the Narthex. We welcome friends and visitors to celebrate in the Kingdom! Please be sure to register early so we know you are coming.
